ST. CATHARINES, ON – The Niagara Industrial Association (NIA) is bringing the best of the Region’s industrial and manufacturing interests to the Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls Ontario for its 2018 tradeshow. Taking place on Feb. 23, 2018, the tradeshow will feature keynote speakers, Ms. Elyse Allan, General Electric Canada CEO and GE Vice President and Peter Hall, Export Development Canada Vice-President and Chief Economist.
Designed to provide industry awareness and marketing opportunities, the tradeshow floor is convenient for networking within Niagara’s industrial sector and beyond. The forum allows for organizations to discover more about the industrial landscape and make important connections to strengthen the Region’s vibrant industrial economy.
The Niagara region has a rich, deep and highly experienced mix of companies that export high value goods and products around the globe. Niagara is perfectly positioned as the gateway to the industrial heartlands of Canada and the United States. Combined with its Foreign Trade Zone Point designation, Niagara offers it’s local businesses a prime opportunity to service both markets and use them as a conduit to the global market.
GE recognized the strength and potential of Niagara, choosing to build the 45,000-square-metre state-of-the-art Welland Brilliant Factory in the city of Welland. The plant will produce power generation machinery for global markets while running an efficient operation through lean manufacturing processes.
The tradeshow will run from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm in the Fallsview Casino Grand Ballroom. Additional information, including fees, can be found at www.niagaraindustry.com and tickets can be purchased on the NIA Eventbrite page at www.eventbrite.ca/o/niagara-industrial-association-4650898983.
