China International Import Expo (Niagara Mission)

Nov 05, 2018 08:00AM - Nov 10, 2018 09:00PM
Shangahi, Qingpu Qu

Description

This international expo is being run by the Chinese government and is the first time that they have ran a sanctioned expo where the purpose of the event is to introduce foreign countries to Chinese consumers/businesses.  Besides retail goods, there will be displays promoting tourism and other services that will benefit Chinese companies connecting to other regions.

Niagara Economic Development is helping businesses with this mission by agreeing to sponsor the costs of the booth.  The concept is that they will have 5 booths under the theme of Niagara Region Canada Foreign Trade Zone.  Within this space, they will have up to 3 companies per booth space to represent their product and develop connections to export/expand their markets.

CanadaBW Logisitics Inc. is taking the lead on arranging the logistics for this project.  They are getting preferred pricing for airfare, hotels, transportation as well as setting up some sponsored dinners during the trip.

The itinerary is still being finalize.  They do know is that we will be leaving Friday, November 2nd from Toronto to Beijing and returning on November 11th.  The cost of the trip  is being finalized, but will be approximately $4000.  The only additional cost would be the promotional material, shipment of any samples and a few meals that aren’t included in the package.
